About Kawardha
In the Indian state of Chhattisgarh, the town and municipality of Kawardha are located in the Kabirdham district. It is the Kabirdham district’s administrative centre. Another notable feature in Kawardha is the “Temple of Bhoramdeo.” Mohammed Akbar of Congress is the Kawardha Legislative Assembly member. He holds a cabinet position in the government of Chhattisgarh as well. Kawardha’s collector is I.A.S. Shri Janmejay Mahobe.
History
Built during the British Raj, Kawardha Palace is a magnificent royal home and one of the city’s most recognisable sights. This palace is open to the public and provides a window into the region’s royal past while showcasing the architectural magnificence of a bygone era. Kawardha is also the location of a number of historic temples, such as the Lord Shiva-focused Bhoramdeo Temple and the historically significant Saroda Reservoir.
