Kheri Town, also known as Khiri, is a charming urban center located in the Khiri tahsil of Kheri District, within the United Provinces, India. Positioned at coordinates 27° 54′ N. and 80° 48′ E., it lies along the Lucknow-Bareilly State Railway. As of the 1901 census, the population stood at 6,223 residents. Kheri boasts a storied history and is home to an elegant tomb constructed in honor of Saiyid Khurd, who passed away in 1563. Administratively governed under Act XX of 1856, it generates an income of approximately Rs. 800. While lending its name to the district, Kheri Town holds modest significance, hosting a daily market, an American Methodist Mission branch, and a school with 144 students.
