About Koramangala

The Indian city of Bangaluru has a neighborhood called Koramangala in its southeast. One of the biggest in that city, it’s a residential neighborhood with broad boulevards surrounded with trees and a mixture of bungalows and commercial buildings. Geography

About 1,800 acres are covered by the eight blocks that make up Koramangala. Blocks 1-4 and 5–8 are divided from each other by the Inner Ring Road, which leads to Domlur and Indiranagar. On the Hosur Road, one would often pass the village of Adugodi in the 1970s before avoiding Koramangala and traveling to the industrial suburbs of Bommanahalli or Bommasandra, which were located roughly ten and twenty kilometers away, respectively. In Koramangala, there was little to no settlement until the late 1970s, when more homes started to be built.
